History: (Thor I#134-135 - BTS) - Tabur was a member of the New Men created by the High Evolutionary, and was present on Mount Wundagore when the Man-Beast led a revolt against their creator. Fearing for his life, Tabur ran from the battle.
(Marvel Premiere#42 (fb)) - When Mount Wundagore launched into space, Tabur was left alone on Earth. His mind snapped, and he became a predator intent on destroying humanity.
(Marvel Premiere#42 (fb) - BTS) - Tabur slew Dr. Joanne Tumolo, a member of the Cat People, so that he could steal her invention, the Electro-Genetic Device. Tumolo had intended to use it in an attempt to cure Tigra of her feline form, but Tabur had grand plans for transforming humans into an earlier form of life.
(Marvel Premiere#42) - Tabur stalked and killed Richard Dannemiller, another Cat Person, in New Orleans. He then went on a rampage, transforming people and animals with the device. This brought out Tigra and the other Cat People. Tabur transformed the Cat People into sabertooth tigers, but they remained loyal to Tigra and continued the battle. Tigra finally engaged Tabur in battle and took the device from him, transforming him back into his true form -- a pussycat. She then used the device to undo all of the changes he had wrought.
(Avengers Spotlight#38 (fb) - BTS) - The effects of the ray soon wore off, and Tabur somehow made his way to the Land Within, home of the original Cat People. He slew their king and became the new ruler of the Cat People.
(Avengers Spotlight#38) - When Tigra became transformed by her cat-soul into an increasingly cat-like creature, Agatha Harkness attempted to summon up the Balkatar from the Land Within to assist her. However, Tabur answered the summons instead, and slashed Harkness across the face. He then transformed Tigra back into her more humanoid appearance, intending to make her his mate. However, Tigra rejected him, and fought him with Agatha Harkness. Agatha finally cast Tigra's cat-soul into Tabur's body, transforming him back into a normal cat. She then sent her familiar Ebony to chase him away.
