Powers/Abilities: Vranx was a Skrull, and thus he had the ability to shape shift. He also got himself "fusion enhanced," giving him super strength (class 25-50?) and the ability to fire strong energy blasts.
History:
(Silver Surfer III #89 (fb)) - When Vranx was little more than a boy,
he killed his parents. His brother Raze swore revenge. His brother went on
to become a bounty hunter, and Vranx spent many years running from him, leaving
a trail of crime and corpses across three galaxies. Each time his brother
got close, Vranx would switch to a new identity and a new set of crimes.
At some point, possibly to better defend himself from his brother, he got
himself cybernetically enhanced, gaining super strength and the ability to
shoot energy blasts.
(Silver Surfer III #89) - Vranx was spending his time surrounded by beautiful alien women in a bar called the Dark Side on the planet Calculex. Eventually, Raze burst in and yelled for Vranx to show himself. Vranx complied, stood up, and told his brother that he thought Raze would have given up by now. Raze prepared to shoot Vranx, but the Silver Surfer interfered, throwing off Raze's aim. In the ensuing confusion, Vranx escaped.
Later on, when the Silver Surfer and Raze were looking for Vranx,
Vranx surprised them from behind with an energy blast. He punched out the
Silver Surfer, who decided to stay out of the fight so the two could settle
their personal score. Vranx fought Raze and before long, Vranx disarmed and
incapacitated his brother, and held him in the air by the throat. Vranx taunted
Raze and prepared to finish him off. But before he could, he was knocked
out by an energy blast from the Silver Surfer from behind. Then, despite
the Silver Surfer's best efforts, Raze took out a gun and killed Vranx. As
he died, he reverted to his true form as a Skrull.
