History: (Avengers Annual#14 (fb)) - Zabyk was a friend of the outcast Prince Dezan and Myrn as a youth, but he later came to despise Prince Dezan. After the Skrull empire had fallen into chaos by the destruction of their homeworld, Zabyk met up with Myrn, who had come into possession of the Hyper-Wave Bomb. Zabyk decided to use the bomb to obtain revenge on his enemies, and become the new Skrull emperor.
(Avengers Annual#14) - As they prepared to activate the Hyper-Wave Bomb, the Avengers and Fantastic Four invaded the power asteroid, accompanied by Prince Dezan. Myrn had Zabyk don a suit of insulated armor, shifting his form to meet the unusual shape of the armor's interior so that he would be protected from the effects of the bomb. He then killed Myrn.
(Avengers Annual#14/Fantastic Four Annual#19) - Zabyk activated the bomb, only to find that the armor did not protect him, and he lost his ability to shapeshift. This left his contorted body frozen inside of the armor, placing him in agony.
