History: (Captain Marvel I#51 (fb) - BTS) - Bill Bishop was a member of the Teen Brigade alongside Rick Jones in his younger years. As an adult, he became a police detective.
(Captain Marvel I#51) - Bishop attended a reunion of the Teen Brigade at a bar alongside Rick Jones, K.C. Ritter and Mike Armstrong. Just as they had begun to get reacquainted, Rick was abducted by the Kree scientist Dr. Minerva. When Bishop tried to shoot at the ship that had grabbed Rick, Ritter stopped him, afraid that Bishop might hit Rick.
(Captain Marvel I#52) - Mike, Bishop and Ritter all ran to the local police station to tell them about Rick being kidnapped. The police were skeptical at first, but Bishop used his status as a detective to participate in the hunt for Rick's abductors alongside the national guard. When they caught up to the crashed ship, they found Rick unconscious in Captain Mar-Vell's arms, and Bishop mistook Mar-Vell for Rick's abductor.
(Captain Marvel I#53) - Bill Bishop stood down when Rick explained that Mar-Vell hadn't kidnapped him. He apologized, and before leaving, told Rick how good it felt to have worked together again.
(Incredible Hulk II#417) - Bill Bishop, K.C. Ritter and Mike Armstrong all attended Rick Jones' bachelor party, and spiked the punch, only to watch in surprise as Hercules declared their spiked punch to be "barely stronger than milk."
