BLASTING CAP

Occupation: Criminal, gang member
Group Membership: Trash
Affiliations: Trash (Airhead, Brute, Crazy Legs, Razor Cut, Thor Kid, Troop), Garbage Man, Rapidfire (former employers)
Enemies: Luke Cage, Garbage Man, Power Pack, Troop
Known Relatives: None
Aliases: Sometimes called "Blast" for short.
Base of Operations: Chicago, Illinois First Appearance: Power Pack I#31 (August, 1987)
Powers/Abilities: Blasting Cap had pyrokinetic ability to cause fiery explosions. To cause these explosions on purpose required a great deal of concentration, but they would occasionally happen when he was scared or upset as well.
History: (Power Pack I#32) - The Garbage Man beat up on the team for their failure to protect his client's crackhouse.
(Cage I#5) - Working out of Chicago now, the team ran into Luke Cage and fought with him until the people of the neighborhood united and chased the gang away.
(Cage I#11) - Trash approached Troop offering him membership in their gang to help take down Cage. The team went to Rapidfire and arranged to work for him, getting guns with armor
piercing rounds that could kill Cage. They set up an ambush, but Troop warned Cage and things got chaotic. After Thor Kid hurt Legs and was in turn cut down
by Razor, Blast got overexcited and caused the building to explode. He and Legs were pulled from the fire by Cage and put into an ambulance.

At one point Kid Thor says to Blast "Forget you, dhen!" which I read as a poorly enunciated "Forget you, then!" (Kid Thor talked like that. Examples being, "Even da cops know not to come 'round here afta dark. Here, we're da baddest!" and "That you do, varlet! For 'dou hast incurred da wrath a' Thor!") but I suppose it could be that he was saying "Forget you, Dhen!" with that being part of Blast's name. We'll likely never know.

(Power Pack I#31) - With the rest of Trash, Blasting Cap ran drugs for the Garbage Man. This led to a confrontation with Power Pack and a battle that destroyed a crackhouse.
