(X-Men Millennial Visions 2001 - "Blob & Mystique: Assassins in Love?" (fb) - BTS) - In the years that followed their departure, Blob achieved international success as a professional wrestler for the Super Sumo Federation, quickly gaining the title of World Super Sumo Champion and growing bored with the popularity. Mystique, on the other hand, became the world's premier assassin of organized crime figures. The two soon accidentally reunited when the Blob took an assassin gig to help cover his extravagant lifestyle and ran into Mystique, who had been contracted to kill the Blob's new employer. Seeing the Blob, Mystique decided to abandon her job.
(X-Men Millennial Visions 2001 - "Blob & Mystique: Assassins in Love?) - The Blob and Mystique formed a partnership as villains-for-hire, selling their services to the highest bidder.
