Powers/Abilities: He was trained by Mikado and Blade in martial arts and the use of various weapons. Among the weapons he used were a strange dagger he wore on his back, fire and gauntlets which created photon daggers.
History:
(Blade: Vampire Hunter II#½ (fb) - BTS) - As a child Rutger and his friend Paulie were saved by Blade from the White Worm (see White Worm profile), but multiple White Worm's rose after the original was cut into pieces by Blade and they killed Paulie and Rutger's whole family. After that Rutger was raised by Blade and Mikado to become a vampire hunter. For years they hunted down vampires and whenever a White Worm was found by them it was killed by Bloodsbane to avenge his friends and family.
(Blade: Vampire Hunter II#½) - Bloodsbane went together with Blade and Mikado on another hunt. They killed several vampires and in the end Bloodsbane went after another White Worm. The White Worm pleaded for mercy, but Bloodsbane showed no mercy and burnt him.

This series occurred after Blade was bitten by Morbius in Peter Parker: Spider-Man II#8.
This comic was published by Marvel Comics and Wizard Entertainment as a prequel to the upcoming title.

A few years older and tougher than his Earth-616 version he was the partner of Mikado and Bloodsbane, who was raised by him to become a vampire hunter. Together with them he killed countless vampires on his world.
