History: (New Thunderbolts#3 (fb) - BTS) - The Atlantean who would become Bloodtide's body was "ravaged by pollutants," mutating her.
(New Thunderbolts#3 (fb) - BTS) - Taking upon themselves the name of At'La'Tique, an ancient Atlantean phrase meaning the 'Fury of the Sea,' the religious rebels followed various leaders, including Nagala, Shakkoth, and Tamara Rahn. They formed a strike force called Fathom Five, which included Dragonrider, Llyron, Bloodtide, Sea Leopard, and Manowar. At'La'Tique's primary religious beliefs involved wiping out life on the surface world. To achieve this goal, they formed an alliance with Baron Strucker of HYDRA.
(New Thunderbolts#2 (fb) - BTS) - Fathom Five led attacks against the Persian Gulf and China.
(New Thunderbolts#1) - Fathom Five attacked New York City and began engaging in rampant destruction. Bloodtide knocked the Thunderbolts' ship from the air with a blast of water and the two teams battled for a time. Bloodtide found herself beset by Atlas and Captain Marvel, and watched as Atlas grew to giant size and began beating Captain Marvel. She took the opportunity to flee as Fathom Five had retreated.
(New Thunderbolts#3) - Fathom Five opposed and defeated the small force Atlantis sent to deal with them.
(New Thunderbolts#4) - Fathom Five attacked New York, and one of Dragonrider's beasts destroyed the Brooklyn Bridge.
(New Thunderbolts#5) - Bloodtide was hit by a blast from Warbird before she drove Warbird into Manowar's grip and defeated Warbird. MACH-IV (out of costume) later defeated Bloodtide by sending an electric current through her water-spout.
(New Thunderbolts#9 - BTS) - Most of Fathom Five, defeated, awaited their trial in a surface world prison.
SECRET WARS III HAPPENED
(Avengers VIII#9 (fb) - BTS) - Bloodtide adopted a much more frightening appearance.
(Avengers VIII#9) - Namor recruited Bloodtide to join his new super-team, the Defenders of the Deep, including Andromeda, Echidna, King Crab, Manowar, Namor, Orka, Tiger Shark, and several mutated Piranhas.
(Avengers VIII#10) - The Defenders of the Deep and War-Sharks saw Namor raise Hydropolis to the surface, then attacked the humans within, declaring that all on the surface world were no longer allowed under the ocean. The Avengers (Black Panther/T'Challa, Captain America/Steve Rogers, Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers, Ghost Rider/Robbie Reyes, Hulk/Jennifer Walters, Iron Man/Tony Stark, Thor/Odinson) attacked, and Bloodtide attacked Ghost Rider with her War-Sharks. Soon the Winter Guard (Chernobog, Crimson Dynamo/Dmitri Bukharin, Darkstar/Laynia Petrovna, Perun, Ursa Major, Vanguard/Nikolai Krylenko, Vostok) intervened, and fights broke out among all three teams. In the chaos, Namor killed a few of the Piranhas for hunting humans, then he ordered the withdrawal of the Defenders of the Deep.
(Free Comic Book Day 2019: Avengers#1/1) - Namor led the Defenders of the Deep (Manowar, Orka, Bloodtide) in an attack on a Roxxon station, resulting in a small oil spill. Namor ordered Manowar to get revenge for the impacted fish. Bloodtide used magic to contain the spill, and Orka to close the spill. Just then, the Squadron Supreme of America attacked, seeking to protect Roxxon.
(Incoming#1) - The Defenders of the Deep (Bloodtide, Echidna, Manowar, Orka, Tiger Shark) approached the Avengers at Avengers Mountain, where they delivered the message that they expected the Avengers to apologize to every fish in the ocean.
(King in Black: Namor#3) - Namor led Andromeda, Bloodtide, and Echidna in a search for the Black Tide, but they found nothing.
(Avengers VIII#40) - Namor led the Defenders of the Deep in attacking the Avengers at Avengers Mountain, as he tried to secure the power of the Phoenix Force for himself. During the fight, Bloodtide spared with Blade. The Phoenix Force froze the fight as it began searching for a new host.
(Avengers VIII#42) - The Defenders of the Deep stood down as Namor battled to control the Phoenix Force.
(Avengers VIII#43) - Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Okoye held off the Defenders of the Deep. Iron Fist battled Bloodtide and Echidna.
(Avengers VIII#44) - The Defenders of the Deep departed after Namor lost the Phoenix battle.
