She was very agile and quite proficient at fighting with a sword, and was fairly evenly matched to Marionette's fighting skills. She fought with a sword that had a uniquely styled handle.
History:
(Micronauts I#57 (fb) - BTS) - D'ark joined Karza's forces as an enlisted soldier on a promise of eternal life.
(Micronauts I#57) - In a sector of the Microverse controlled by Baron Karza, the Micronauts attacked a courier craft of Karza's to determine the despot's next move. Onboard the courier craft, Captain D'ark ordered that the Baron be informed that the Micronauts had boarded one of his ships. Approached by a menacing Marionette, Captain D'ark drew her own sword and engaged the female Micronaut in a swordfight. Around her, Captain D'ark's fellow dog soldiers were being killed in droves as they engaged Acroyear, Bug and Huntarr. As the two women fought, D'ark revealed that she was an enlisted soldier for Karza, spurring the disgusted Marionette on in battle. With Fireflyte in tow, Arcturus Rann then teleported aboard the courier ship to stop the Micronauts' bloodthirsty attack against Karza's troops, halting Marionette's killing stroke against D'ark so that information could be gathered on Karza's plans. Fireflyte then flew about D'ark, singing a penetrating song that forced the Captain to reveal that Karza would next be attacking the planet of Never-Summer to destroy it in an effort to gain the submission of the dissenting worlds of the Microverse. Arcturus then advised Marionette to be merciful, lest the Micronauts become as ruthless as Karza. During the argument, D'ark then ejected in an escape pod.
(Micronauts I#57 - BTS) - D'ark and the Micronauts made their way separately to Never-Summer.
(Micronauts I#57) - D'ark then appeared before Karza at the Sunscope on the Sacred Mountain on Never-Summer. Overconfident, Karza dismissed her concerns regarding the Micronauts. Meanwhile, the Micronauts had arrived, climbed the Sacred Mountain, and engaged Karza'a forces to stop the despot's genocidal destruction of Never-Summer. D'ark then joined the battle against the Micronauts, and glimpsed Ojeeg, the Never-Summer native tribal chief, on his way to the Sunscope. D'ark and Marionette clashed with swords once more on the snow-topped mountain, still evenly matched. At this point, the Sunscope was activated, cutting a swath through the Karza's troops. D'ark was shocked at this turn of events and fled with the other dog soldiers.

Captain D'ark may be related to Major D'ark, a male appeared early in this Micronauts series...or maybe Karza had Major Dark demoted and turned into a woman in the Body Banks!--Snood.
She probably escaped with the other fleeing dog soldiers away from Never-Summer.
