History: (Incredible Hulk Annual#7) - When the Hulk turned himself in to authorities, Charles Irwin was sent to New Mexico as a special correspondant. During the evening news that night, Charles Irwin gave his report and once it was over, he spoke with Doc Samson about the possibility of an interview with the Hulk. Almost immediately, the Hulk broke free from prison, terrifying Mr. Irwin, who was surprised at the sheer size of the Hulk.
(Avengers I#190) - At 9:26 a.m., Charles Irwin reported live from the Federal Courthouse in downtown Manhattan, New York, about the impending senate investigation of the Avengers. He was interrupted by the arrival of the Avengers and later announced on television that his station would remain live at the Federal building to bring events as they developed.
