History: (Wha...Huh?/13) - After defeating the Monolith, the Avengers decided to celebrate with a toast. Black Panther thought that the team earned themselves a cold one and removed his mask, revealing himself to be Caucasian, much to the surprise of his teammates. Iron Man questioned whether or not the Black Panther was from Africa, to which the Panther replied that he was from South Africa. Hawkeye then asked why the Black Panther was even on the team if he wasn't black, prompting Captain America to nervously explained that the Black Panther had violated the team charter by misrepresenting himself. The Black Panther angrily explained that he never told anyone he was black and then pointed at Black Widow, who made a hasty exit. Captain America continued by informing the Panther that he had been brought into the team to fill a quota. The Black Panther once again asked about the Black Widow, but Hawkeye and Iron Man responded by saying that she filled the woman quota. The Panther then angrily yelled that he would rather be in the Defenders that hang out with the Avengers. He then made his leave, leaving Hawkeye and Iron Man to wonder if they could get Black Bolt to join the Avengers.

BLACK PANTHER
The Black Panther was a superhero from South Africa who joined the Avengers, not realizing that he was there to fill the African-American quota. Upon revealing his true Caucasian race, Captain America explained that the Black Panther misrepresented himself in violation of the Avengers charter. Angry that he was only there for his proposed race, the Black Panther angrily quit the team.
