History: (Namor I#41 (fb)) - While piloting the United States submarine, the USS Dauntless, in undersea Tharsis Major, the ship collided with an unknown structure of Atlantean origin on the ocean floor. 

(Namor I#41) - Captain Forrester recorded the helplessness of their situation in his log, recognizing that there was little life support to keep them alive and that an international incident with the Atlanteans could be risked.  He made the tough call of breaking radio silence and activating the distress beacon.  When a group of Navy seals came to save them, the Atlanteans attacked, assuming the surface men were there to battle them.  Namor and War Machine battled, representing each side, until the Coast Guard arrived and convinced them to aid in the effort of rescuing the Dauntless.  With both races working together, the Dauntless was successfully freed.

Apone, Drake, Hicks, Hudson, and Vasquez

(Namor I#41) - A group of Navy Seals that moved to rescue the trapped USS Dauntless, Apone, Drake, Hicks, Hudson, and Vasquez were attacked by the Atlantean military.  After some of them were killed, Namor moved in to help the Atlanteans before War Machine arrived to battle Namor.  In time, all worked together to save the Dauntless.
