Powers/Abilities/Functions: The I.B.P. (Intercontinental Ballistics Plane) was a rocket-engine plane able to travel at 5,000 miles per hour by traveling on the edge of space. It also featured a televiewer device used for spying on locations below.

History: (Strange Tales I#137/1) - Racing to stop the launch of HYDRA's Betatron Bomb, Nick Fury, Dum-Dum Dugan and Gabe Jones boarded the I.B.P. in order to seek out the bomb's launch site in the Balkans, and the plane took off at incredible speeds.

(Strange Tales I#138/1) - As Fury was studying the area, the Betatron Bomb launched, Fury missing it by seconds. He then commanded S.H.I.E.L.D. to destroy the launch site.
