He can nullify superhuman abilities in his opponents, but must focus this power on specific targets. Indigo also has a hypnotic glare, requiring eye-to-eye contact. He is also educated in genetics and mystic lore.
History: (X-Force I#97 (fb)) - Odysseus Indigo was one of the founders of the Damocles Foundation, an organization devoted to creating and/or controlling the next species to dominate the Earth. To this end, the Foundation is greatly concerned with mutantkind and in genetic experiments.
(X-Force I#86 (fb)) - Indigo represented the Damocles Foundation through one of its fronts, the Aguilar Institute, as he offered the organization's resources to the town Almost Reno, New Mexico. The sterile population were corrected through Deviant and mutant chromosomes, resulting in the next generation of children in Almost Reno being born superhuman.
(X-Force I#84) - Indigo met with Dr. Chandra about Arcadia Deville, the vastly powerful mutant who had escaped their custody when his brother Ulysses turned traitor. Ulysses and Arcadia were aided by X-Force against the Sword team dispatched to retrieve them. Indigo suggested that it was time to either recruit X-Force, or destroy them.
(X-Force I#86) - When the children of Almost Reno began to degenerate and die, Indigo had the town cleaned up. With just the children Mary and Zachary left, and Mary being of particular interest because she was stable, Indigo confronted X-Force when they defended her. He identified himself as the head of the Damocles Foundation, and as Dragonblood's brother. Indigo offered them a place with the Foundation, but they refused. They also refused to turn over Mary and Zachary, but he said that they would get them eventually.
(X-Force I#93) - Odysseus conversed with Electryon and Astarte after they had seemingly captured the cosmic energies of Moonstar, which he hoped would help them recapture Arcadia, but Moonstar reclaimed her power and X-Force beat Astarte and Electryon.
(X-Force I#96) - Indigo met with Dr. Chandra and Dr. Joshua in Brazil, and they presented the remains of Reignfire to him.
(X-Force I#97) - Indigo oversaw Dr. Chandra and Dr. Joshua's efforts to use Reignfire as a solar battery in one of the Celestials' Gatherers, intending to use it to jumpstart the evolutionary process. When Selene and Sunspot were found in the base by Sword, Indigo helped incapacitate Selene by placing the ashes of a Lemurian sorcerer on her brow, nullifying her powers. Sledge, Dragonblood, Arcadia and X-Force later set the duo free, and they tried to halt the revival of the Gatherer. Indigo defeated X-Force with his powers, then fought Dragonblood. However, Selene claimed the Gatherer, and demanded that Indigo turn the Damocles Foundation over to her. Having relaxed his powers effects on Moonstar and Arcadia, they were able to destroy the Gatherer, ending the threat.

Indigo's sunglasses are similar to those of Warlord Kro's, suggesting a connection.
