History: (Hercules and the Heart of Chaos#2) - Roger "Buddy" Juniper was among the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who went through an obstacle course at S.H.I.E.L.D.'s facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and volunteered to lead Agent 125-- Hercules-- through the course. Hercules proved to be unorthodox in the course, and wound up taking out a machine gun nest by through a mound of dirt at it.
As Hercules and Juniper began to bond, Juniper revealed that he was from a proud military family, and wanted to make them proud, even if he died while on a mission. As a word of caution, Hercules told Juniper the story of Jason and the Argonauts capture of the Golden Fleece, and how many of the Argonauts died as a result.
Later, Juniper joined Hercules in an invasion force to South America, to assault a base of the Warhawks. When Hercules and the others arrived, the Warhawks were gone, with only a Minotaur left guarding the base. Juniper tried to aid Hercules in battle, but the Minotaur struck him down. Hercules subsequently slew the Minotaur, then checked on Juniper. Juniper asked Hercules to kick Ares' butt for him, then died from his wounds.
