Powers/Abilities: Gweny Lee used a pistol on at least one occasion.

History: (Captain Savage and his Battlefield Raiders#17 (fb) - BTS) - For some reason, Gweny Lee came to dwell on a Japanese-occupied island in the Pacific, and learned her away around the base camp located there. She encountered Jay Little Bear when he came to destroy the camp, but Little Bear was captured by the Japanese.

(Captain Savage and his Battlefield Raiders#17) - When Little Bear escaped his cell, Gweny Lee helped him escape the camp, and aided him in completing his mission to destroy the camp. When Little Bear was pinned by crates and confronted by a Japanese officer, Gweny Lee came to his rescue, killing the officer. She helped the injured Little Bear make it to the island's shore, and into a raft, just as Little Bear's explosives destroyed the camp.

(Captain Savage and his Battlefield Raiders#18 (fb)) - Little Bear and Gweny Lee drifted in their raft for a day and a half before being found by a navy plane which transported them back to Australia.

(Captain Savage and his Battlefield Raiders#18) - The Leathernecks were reunited with Little Bear, and met Gweny Lee. The other Leathernecks were amused to find that Little Bear was in love with her, and began teasing him.

(Captain Savage and his Battlefield Raiders#19) - Gweny Lee joined Sam Yates, Jay Little Bear, Roy Stone and Jacques LaRocque for a new year's party.

Captain Savage#17 opened with Jay Little Bear being interrogated by the Japanese, and a caption reading "You didn't miss an issue...we just skipped a mission on you! But, bear with us for a few pages and all will be made clear!" And yet, the story never explains why Gweny Lee is on the island, or how Jay already knows who she is. My guess is that Friedrich wrote an issue that went unused. I wonder if it's still out there?
