History: Little is known about Morel. As Vashti's nephew, he acted as a page in the Atlantean court. When Seth seemingly returned from the dead, Morel was set to watch over him. Atlantis was shocked as well when their dead princess Fen seemingly returned from the dead as well, though Fen was secretly Artys-Gran in disguise.
(Namor I#35 (fb) - BTS) - Morel watched over the unconscious Seth, and grew curious as 'Fen' repeatedly checked on Seth, wondering what Seth was saying, and acting uncomfortable that Morel was even there.
(Namor I#35) - Vashti returned to check on Seth and Morel reported to Vashti about 'Fen's' strange behavior. Vashti confirmed Morel's doubts before Seth finally woke up, calling to speak to Namor.
(Namor I#36) - While Morel looked over Seth, the Nereid attacked and tossed Morel aside. He called out to Seth, awaking him from the spell the Nereid had him under. Soon, Namor came and stopped the Nereid. They decided that a group of them should leave the city as it was no longer safe.
(Namor I#37) - Morel accompanied Seth, Tamara Rahn, Tiger Shark, and Namor to where Seth had been held captive, investigating the mystery around Atlantis. In a cave, Morel moved to explore and was reined in by Namor just before the Faceless Ones attacked and defeated them all. They awoke later, chained. Suma-Ket approached and battled Namor, soon slaying him. Morel was horrified that the Old Ones of Atlantean prophecy had returned. After the Old Ones left, Morel suggested they sing the death-song for Namor, but was shocked when Lord Neptune appeared and resurrected Namor, bestowing upon him the armor of Kalen.
(Namor I#38) - While returning to Atlantis, Morel watched as Vashti was saved from the Nereid, the origins of the Old Ones were recounted, and the Nereid revealed that 'Fen' was Artys-Gran. Namor took Vashti, Seth, and Morel to old Atlantis to find Fen's body.
(Namor I#39) - At Fen's grave, Namor did battle with the grave's Guardian. Morel intercepted a blast meant for Namor. After Namor defeated the Guardian, he opened his mother's grave and freed Fen, who was trapped in Artys-Gran's decaying form. Morel, up and around, questioned how this could truly be Fen. Fen used black magic to return them to Atlantis, where the Old Ones were attacking.
(Namor I#40) - With Namor, Fen, and Vashti to inspire the people, they battled the Old Ones until the villains were all defeated, though Fen was killed by Socus.
