Powers/Abilities: The
Quantum Mechanic was a very large being, somewhere in the 20-30 foot
range. It possessed four arms and enough strength to knock a possessor
of the Uni-Power into space and past the moon. With its tools, it
apparently had the ability to dismantle (and theoretically rebuild)
realities.
History: (Web of Spider-Man Annual#5/2) - The Quantum Mechanic was sent by "Central Control" to Earth-616, where it was to dismantle the local reality because of a breakdown in probability outcomes in it due to uncertainty principles. He arrived, busting through a wall at Empire State University. As he set out to assess the damages caused by Earth-616, he was confronted by Dr. Evan Swann, ESU's professor of physics, who had just gained the Uni-Power seconds before. The Quantum Mechanic tried to brush Captain Universe (Swann) off, saying it was his reality's fault for messing itself up. He then knocked Swann into space. Captain Universe dove back to Earth and flew at top speed towards the Mechanic. The collision caused a massive explosion, in which Swann used the Uni-Power to send the Mechanic back to his home dimension, with a warning never to tamper with Earth again. With the threat of the Quantum Mechanic gone, Swann soon lost the Uni-Power.

Created Gerry Conway, Steve Ditko and Al Milgrom.
Perhaps the Quantum Mechanic is an
agent of the Time Broker or the Time Variance
Authority?
