Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Ruby enabled its user to control the minds of other beings. The greater the magical skills of the user the more beings he/she/it could control through the Ruby of Domination. With the help of the Eye of Agamotto the control over the Ruby and therefore the number of controlled beings could be magnified to infinity.

(Marvel Fanfare I#20 (fb) ) - Xandu used the ruby to control the Hulk and knock out Dr. Strange in the Sanctum Sanctorum. The Hulk brought Dr. Strange to another dimension where Xandu already waited for him and the Eye of Agamotto which he needed to gain full control over the Ruby of Domination. Xandu teleported himself and the Ruby of Domination to the Sanctum Sanctorum and was sure that he would control all inhabitants of Earth within one day.

(Marvel Fanfare I#20) - The Ruby of Domination was combined with the Eye of Agamotto and levitated in the Sanctum Sanctorum while Xandu sent the Hulk against the Thing and Dr. Strange, who had just returned from Xandu's imprisonment.

(Marvel Fanfare I#21) - Xandu fought Dr. Strange and channelled his spells through the Ruby of Domination to increase their power. When Xandu saw the Hulk loosing against the Thing he took control over Wong to knock out Dr. Strange while the two brutes continued their fight because the Hulk was angry at the Thing (Thing hits Hulk! Hulk smash!). Dr. Strange was restrained in a mystical cage and Xandu began to join his spirit with the Ruby of Domination, but before the process could be finished the Hulk and Thing fell through the Sanctum Sanctorum's skylight and the Thing shattered the Ruby of Domination with a hard right punch. After Xandu was teleported to a Nether Dimension the gem's pieces remained in Dr. Strange's possession.

This story was a direct sequel to the events in Marvel Fanfare I#6 wherein Xandu was defeated by Spider-Man and the Scarlet Witch.

The events of this story happened shortly after the Hulk's banishment to the Crossroads in Incredible Hulk II#300.
