SIDEREAL DISPLACER
Classification: Terrestrial technology
Creator: Mr. Fantastic
User/Possessors: Mr. Fantastic
First Appearance: Marvel Fanfare I#37/2 (April, 1988)
Powers/Abilities/Functions: It was a short-span time travelling device. The main device (see right) was connected to Reed's Chronometer (see below), but it didn't work too well. It created unstable temporal echoes, couldn't cope with the 24-hour format, couldn't jump more then four hours forward at once and easily got overheated.
History:
(Marvel Fanfare I#37/2) - At 6:42 P.M. on a late summer evening it was finished. At 7:29 the same evening Reed used it for the first time to travel back to 6:45 P.M. and get ready for a beautiful evening with the team at the Elgin Theater. It didn't work as planned and Reed popped up at 6:45 A.M. right next to his wife in bed. He tried to jump 12 hours forward, but it only took him four hours forward into the kitchen where She-Hulk and Wyatt were arm-wrestling. Another four hour jump took him into a training session of the Human Torch. The third four hour jump took him to the point he wanted to be, but the Sidereal Displacer had caught fire and Reed had to put it out first. Ten minutes later it was done and Reed was too late again. He went to the theater dressed in his costume and met four temporal echoes of himself caused by the irresponsible time travel with the Sidereal Displacer. The echoes disappeared, Reed took his ticket and Sue was mad because Reed wasn't properly dressed for the theater.

Genius Reed Richards invents a time travel device without 24 hour time format and no indication if it's before or after midday. Well done, Reed!
