History:
(Daredevil vs. Punisher#2 (fb) - BTS) - On his sixth birthday, Martin sat on his birthday cake and set his pants on fire, causing his family to laugh.
(Daredevil vs. Punisher#1 (fb) - BTS) - Mr. Bastelli ran his diner with his wife and children in New York. Local gangs started demanding protection fees, willing to beat the Bastellis up if they didn't pay. When men from Hector Nino's gang got fresh with Mary, Mr. Bastelli and Martin tried to stop them, but they were both beat up in return.
(Daredevil vs. Punisher#1) - When Martin saw the Punisher come into the diner, he looked at him angrily. When Bastelli saw some enforcers coming in, he called Mary away from the Punisher's table, but she bent to clean the table, hiding the Punisher instead and ignoring his gun. Punisher soon left out the back, where Martin was angrily kicking a garbage can. He told the Punisher about Hector Nino's gang and rushed off to Sticks' pool hall to see what happened, and witnessed the Punisher killing Hector and his men. He vomited in the street before hugging the Punisher in thanks, then rushed home before the police arrived, passing an arguing Vinnie and his wife.
(Daredevil vs. Punisher#2) - The Bastellis sat around with Aunt Frida laughing over pictures. Mary was getting ready to go out with Gina when Martin privately showed her a gun he'd bought from a friend of Tommy's. He confessed that the Punisher had killed Hector and his men, causing Mary to worry about Martin being in danger. He agreed to get rid of the gun, feeling ashamed. Martin kept it, though, and put it in his jeans at a party later. While talking to Tommy, he decided to flirt with Jennifer Tillman, causing her boyfriend Benjamin to get upset. Benjamin Bradford pushed and kicked Martin, who fell and dropped the gun.
(Daredevil vs. Punisher#3) - Embarrassed, Martin went home and Mary convinced him to go clubbing with her, sneaking him in and making him promise not to get in trouble. The lights and noises reminded him of the gun fight and caused him to panic, running out in the alley. Mary came to check on him and was shocked to see he still had his gun. When a man got abusive with his girlfriend, Mary rushed for help, but Martin fired his gun to scare the guy off, scaring other patrons of the club.
(Daredevil vs. Punisher#4) - Mary and her father joked about how happy Martin was now that he had a girlfriend. When two new men, including Sid, came in and started roughing up Mr. Bastelli for money, Martin drew his gun and killed them both. Panicking, they sent Martin to stay with Aunt Frida in Pennsylvania and Mr. Bastelli refused police help. That night, they were visited by gang members.
(Daredevil vs. Punisher#5 (fb) - BTS) - The gang members beat all of the Bastellis, killing Mr. Bastelli, badly wounding Mrs. Bastelli, and raping Mary.
(Daredevil vs. Punisher#5) - When Martin returned, he cried over Mary's hospital bed and realized the Punisher was standing there. He blamed all his problems on the Punisher, who told Martin he needed to go into hiding. Punisher rushed the reluctant Martin outside, shooting down those who had come after Martin. Martin rushed home, where the Punisher found him crying. They rushed for the roof when more men attacked and the Punisher shot at them, killing Mike. After the Punisher fought in a deadly battle, they rushed for the fire escape, where they found Daredevil waiting.
(Daredevil vs. Punisher#6) - Martin stood by helpless while the two heroes battled, the gang men, including Harry, Tommy, and Sal approached the door, and the police swarmed outside. Reporters Jill and Ted covered the battle when the window exploded outward. Martin managed to get his gun and hold the heroes at gunpoint. They both demanded he put the gun down, saying criminals were coming in front outside. In the confusion, Martin was shot repeatedly and killed.

After Harry was killed, Tommy led the men forward, determined to kill the Punisher and collect a reward the Professor had put out on him. They held off the cops with a homemade bomb. They stormed the apartment and killed Martin before the Punisher killed them.
