Powers/Abilities: People always liked her and her mother assumed that there was nothing bad in Lucy. As a teenager she developed telepathic abilities that allowed her to contact others over vast distances and create a mental projection of herself. She also possessed a calming empathic ability that allowed her to give hope to others with her mere presence. She also knew if someone was a good person, but it is unknown if this was part of her powers. The full extent of her powers is unknown anyway because she didn't understand her powers yet.
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 110 lbs.
History: (Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness) - Lucy accidentally hit Dan Ketch with her ball when he asked her mother for a room. He wasn't angry at her because she reminded him of his sister. Lucy hugged Dan and told him that he was a good man just like Mr. Logan and Mr. Frank. Flo then sent her daughter to wash up for dinner. At the table Lucy asked Dan if he hunted like Frank and Logan and told him that she would like it more if Frank and Logan just took pictures of animals because she was sure they didn't want to hurt anybody. After Frank, Logan and Dan had denied Blackheart their help they heard Lucy scream. She tried to stop her mother from going to the bad man (Blackheart), but Lucy's mother was in a trance like all the other citizens of Christ's Crown. Lucy then asked the heroes to help her mother. Wolverine promised her that they would bring her mother back. Only seconds after the heroes lost sight of Lucy, Blackheart abducted her on Ghost Rider's bike. When the heroes arrived where the citizens were headed, Blackheart showed them that he had Lucy, the one uncorrupted soul in town. Blackheart left with Lucy on the bike after the Punisher tried to shoot him. When he flew over Dan Ketch blood from Lucy's arm dripped onto Dan's face. Blackheart took her to a hill outside town and when the heroes attacked two lesser demons took Lucy to hell, but Ghost Rider and the others followed Blackheart and Lucy. They took Blackheart apart and Wolverine and the Punisher brought Lucy back to Earth. Back on Earth Lucy saw her mother and jumped into her arms. After that she took Ghost Rider's arm and they stood next to a rose. (Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Dark Design (fb) - BTS) - Lucy became older and her powers began to emerge. One night Blackheart returned to Christ's Crown, changed the city and turned his followers into the Corrupt. Lucy's mother was one of the first to be killed by them. It seemed over for everyone in the city when Lucy began to call them telepathically and they all joined her and survived in the newly created tunnels beneath the city. Ghost Rider, Punisher and Wolverine returned to Christ's Crown after they received a telepathic cry for help from Lucy. (Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Dark Design) - Ghost Rider carried Lucy on his arms during their escape from the Corrupt. He dropped her when a Corrupt shot him in the back. The Corrupt Vana asked Lucy to come with them, but Ghost Rider and Lucy's cousin Norma Jean protected her from the Corrupt. When the fight seemed finished a Corrupt touched Ghost Rider's hand and infected him. Lucy came to his aid, but Ghost Rider ordered her not to touch him. He transformed back into Dan Ketch and went with Lucy and Norma into the tunnels beneath the city. Lucy contacted Wolverine and the Punisher telepathically and asked them to hurry after they had fought a few Corrupt in the dark streets of Christ's Crown. Beneath the city Lucy watched over Dan Ketch, who slowly turned into a Corrupt. She felt sorry that she got Dan into this situation. She welcomed Wolverine and the Punisher when they arrived. At a fire the heroes talked about Blackheart, the Corrupt and Lucy told them about her powers. The Punisher wanted to know why she didn't call Dr. Strange or the Avengers and Lucy told him that it had to be them. The Corrupt attacked the survivors and carried Lucy and Ghost Rider away to Blackheart's fortress. There Lucy was put into a wedding gown and Blackheart asked her to help him kill his father and rule with him a gentler version of Hell. He took a knife to her throat when Wolverine and the Punisher crashed through a window and heroes surrendered, but he couldn't break them. Blackheart tried to get back to Lucy when the heroes broke free, but Ghost Rider stopped him and once again Blackheart was slaughtered by the trio. Lucy ran into Wolverine's arms to thank the heroes. When Norma and her rebels entered, Lucy returned to Blackheart, who wasn't dead, to offer him forgiveness and he cried. Lucy left with the heroes. Mephisto entered the fortress when they were gone and taunted his son, but Blackheart still had the mystic dagger and a drop of Lucy's innocent blood was still on its tip (when did this happen?; see comments). Blackheart stabbed his father and became the new ruler of Mephisto's realm. Comments: Created by Howard Mackie (writer), John Romita Jr. (pencils), Klaus Janson (inks). I'm not sure if Lucy was a mutant. It would fit because her superhuman abilities seemingly developed during puberty, but it could be that Lucy was intended to be the supernatural counterpart to Blackheart. She has really grown between her appearances. There were three years in real time between her appearances, but in the Marvel Universe not more than a few months could've passed. Maybe just a sudden growth spurt (normal in her age). When did Blackheart get a drop of Lucy's blood, if it even was Lucy's blood? According to Blackheart Lucy was the only innocent soul in the city which means it had to be her blood. Did he cut her when he held the dagger to her throat? Maybe it was censored (Comic Code). BTW the mystic dagger Blackheart used to kill his father got into Blackheart's possession with the help of Mys-Tech's Rathcoole on the pages of Warheads#10 (AFAIK this was revealed in OHotMU Horror 2005). Lucy has a small entry in the Marvel Knights Encyclopedia. Profile by Markus Raymond. CLARIFICATIONS: Norma Jean has no known connection to: (Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness (fb) - BTS) - At some point she opened up Flo's Boarding House in Christ's Crown. One day the Punisher and Wolverine took rooms at her house after they had received a letter from Blackheart that led them to Christ's Crown. (Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness) - She was surprised when another man named Dan Ketch, who also got a letter from Blackheart, came to her house on search for a room. She talked a little bit with Dan and introduced her daughter to him. Flo led Dan to the dinner table where Mr. Logan and Mr. Frank were already sitting. She and her daughter had dinner with the three men. Blackheart put Flo and all the other citizens of Christ's Crown into a trance and assembled them around a statue in the city. After Blackheart's defeat Flo came to the hill where Ghost Rider, Wolverine and the Punisher returned with her daughter from hell and took her daughter into her arms. (Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Dark Design (fb) - BTS) - Flo was one of the first to be killed by the Corrupt. --Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness (GR/W/P: Hearts of Darkness (fb) - BTS, GR/W/P: Hearts of Darkness, GR/W/P: Dark Design (fb) - BTS (Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Dark Design (fb) - BTS) - Norma was niece of Flo Crumm. When the city was changed by Ghost Rider she thought that she would die like her aunt and all the other people that were killed by the Corrupt, but then she received the psychic call from Lucy. Soon Norma and many others found refugee in the tunnels beneath the city were Lucy's presence gave them hope. (Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Dark Design) - Armed with a shotgun Norma Jean fled with Ghost Rider and Lucy from the Corrupt. She protected Lucy and hid with her in the bushes during Ghost Rider's fight against the Corrupt. During the fight she shot one Corrupt and then saved Ghost Rider by shooting another that touched Ghost Rider's hand. After the fight Norma, Ghost Rider and Lucy returned to the tunnels beneath the city. Dan Ketch got sick from the touch and Norma suggested shooting him if he turned into a Corrupt. When the intruders alert went off she went with a few others to welcome the intruders with guns, but the intruders were just Wolverine and the Punisher that were welcomed warmly by Lucy. Later Norma stood at the fire when the heroes talked with Lucy and her about what had happened in Christ's Crown. Norma told the Punisher that the survivors needed the heroes to get them out of the city. Later she told the heroes how Lucy was the reason why she and the others in the tunnels had survived. When the Corrupt attacked Norma wasn't able to protect Lucy and Ghost Rider from being abducted. Afterwards the heroes wanted to go after the Corrupt and Norma and some of the rebels decided to go with them. After Blackheart was defeated Norma and her rebels entered his fortress and then left the building with Lucy and the heroes. --Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Dark Design (GR/W/P: Dark Design (fb) - BTS, GR/W/P: Dark Design images: (without ads) Appearances:
