History:

(Daredevil II#96 (fb) - BTS) - Dr. Devereaux was called in to conduct a psychiatric evaluation on Melvin Potter, who had just committed four murders. She read through his file, which contained his history as the super-criminal Gladiator. Potter had a history of pleading insanity in his criminal charges and his Gladiator persona was believed to be a dissociative identity.

(Daredevil II#96) - Devereaux interviewed Potter, who was in chains and who denied knowledge of his actions. She reported to assembled attorneys Becky Blake, Matt Murdock, Gus, and Palmer that she’d made the determination that he was lying and that he was faking being sick. Becky was outraged as was Gus, who was silenced by Palmer. Palmer indirectly accused Matt of being Daredevil and refused to let Potter free from Ryker’s. He offered the deal that Potter be given four counts of manslaughter one and be sentenced to fifteen years. Becky still wanted a hospital sentence instead and Palmer and Devereaux departed to give them time to think it over.
