Powers/Abilities: Similar to her predecessor, this Fang was humanoid in appearance, had normal intelligence, but enhanced strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility and reflexes, as well as being a very good hand-to-hand combatant, as evidenced in her fairly equal duel with Cerise. She carried no weapons, but her fingers had extended, strong and very sharp nails. She had red eyes, pointed ears, extended front incisor teeth, and a layer of brown fur that was longer around her head. This Fang wore a very similar suit to her predecessor in color and tooth adornments, although she had a much lower neckline to her outfit.

History:

(Excalibur I#70 (fb) - BTS) - Fang was hired by key members of the Shi'ar High Council to assassinate Cerise, who was considered the worst traitor in Shi'ar history, and any who befriended her.

(Excalibur I#69) - Fang covertly arrived at the Shi'ar prison world called Krag, where Cerise had been sent for traitorous war crimes. Phoenix (Rachel Summers), who had arrived on Krag to rescue her teammate Cerise, detected a strange but "very alien" thought pattern from Fang on the transport platform where new prisoners had arrived, but Phoenix was distracted by fighting before she could investigate. Fang then watched and stalked Cerise from nearby, readying herself for an attack.

(Excalibur I#70) - Fang leapt in her attack against Cryan, a fellow Krag prisoner who had befriended Cerise. However, Cerise jumped at the attacker and engaged Fang in single but savage combat. Cerise told Fang that she did not want to kill her, even stating that she would sacrifice her own life to spare Cryan. However, Fang refused and said that she would kill both Cerise, whom she considered a traitor, and Cryan. In defiance, Cerise grabbed at Fang's jaw, claiming that she didn't want to kill the assassin, but then broke Fang's neck, her lifeless body then falling to the floor. However, Cerise's former colleagues in Excalibur and the Starjammers witnessed this kill and were shocked her bloody act. Corsair consoled her, stating that to Fang, life was cheap, and that Cerise would be dead sooner or later if she had let Fang live.

It could be that this Fang is the replacement in the Imperial Guard of the earlier Fang destroyed by the Brood, but was instead employed in covert activities by members of the Shi'ar High Council to eliminate Cerise.

It appears that there is a race of "Fangs" as part of the Shi'ar Empire. However, there seems to only ever be one Fang at a time, with a new one only appearing after the death of the previous one, so perhaps it's the title of the premier warrior from this race in service to the Shi'ar.

It's stated that this story took place before Uncanny X-Men#302.
