History:

(Daredevil II#37) – A lawyer hired by Rosenthal to fight against Matt Murdock, who was suing Rosenthal for slander as his company the Daily Globe had tried outing Murdock as the hero Daredevil publicly, Mr. Ingersol met with Murdock and Foggy Nelson to try and settle out of court. Ingersol told the two lawyers that he would fight them with as much effort as it took to see them utterly humiliated in court. He was shown out by Luke Cage, sarcastically chiding Murdock all the way. Ingersol was later fired.

(Daredevil II#42) – Acting as Rosenthal’s council again, Ingersol explained that they had little chance of winning the case and that Murdock could end up owning the paper.

(Daredevil II#43) – Ingersol learned that Rosenthal was murdered, decapitated in his pool. The police questioned him about any enemies that Rosenthal had had, and Ingersol told them about the Murdock/Daredevil case.
