Powers/Abilities: At best, Lil was a normal human. She was an overweight-looking, middle-aged woman who looked like she did not participate in any amount of physical exercise. She relied on her hired thugs to perform her tasks. However, she and her thugs did have access to a very strong net - strong enough that Spider-Man was not able to break through it.
History:
(Spider-Man in "The Trap")- The dastardly criminal mastermind, Larcenous Lil, and two of her hired thugs were waiting on the top of a building with a sturdy net to capture Spider-Man. As if right on schedule and as predicted by Larcenous Lil, Spider-Man's webs swung by carrying the hero, and her criminal henchmen then dropped a net on him. Spider-Man was then captured and awaited his fate. Larcenous Lil told the hapless hero that he was going on a one-way ride and she departed soon after, leaving a henchman behind with a gun. Spider-man began to beg the criminal to be a nice guy and let him go, but his captor replied "not for a million bucks." Using the power of Hostess Twinkies, he persuaded the thug to let him go. Larcenous Lil, having returned to her lair, was soon caught by Spider-man who broke in and webbed her up.
(Fin Fang Four Return!#1/5 (fb) - BTS) - Larcenous Lil was imprisoned somewhere in NY state.
(Fin Fang Four Return!#1/5) - The robot Elektro, mistakenly identified as a villain and arrested, was ushered into the prison's S-Wing where he met various past Spider-Man villains, including Larcenous Lil. Later, inspired by Elektro's defiance, she and the other inmates of S-Wing smashed their way out only to be subdued by the prison guards using sedation foam.
Comments: Created by unknown writer, penciler and inker.
Of all the Hostess villains, only Icemaster has shown up in an Earth-616 title. He could have crossed over to Earth-616 from "Earth-Hostess," but I say leave them on Earth-616 until proven otherwise. Nonetheless, until they do show up in regular continuity, they remain outside regular canon. Surely someone will write a story teaming them all together.---Snood.
And now they've been found! ... in a dark corner of an ignored prison ...
You can get the whole Hostess story, and some clever commentary from Seanbaby's The Hostess Page. It might not meet with the Comics Code Authority's approval, so kids, ask your parents before checking that out!
Perhaps the awesome mind-altering powers of Twinkies has been neutralized to prevent its will-sapping power falling into the wrong hands...---Grendel Prime
Her real name was revealed in Elektro's profile in OHotMU A-Z Update 2010#2.

: Two unnamed male criminals were
employed by Larcenous Lil and helped capture Spider-Man with a very
strong net. One of the men was left behind and held Spider-Man at
gunpoint
while Larcenous Lil and the other thug returned to their lair. The
criminal, not seeming to be that bright, was bribed with the power of
Hostess Twinkies and let Spider-man go. His fate, as well as that of
his buddy's, remains unknown as they were not seen when Spider-Man
captured Larcenous Lil. --Hostess Fruit Pies ad "The Trap" images:
