History:
(Defenders I#51) - A student at Empire State University, Ledge was introduced by Dollar Bill to new student Valkyrie. The trio went to see a movie.
(Defenders I#52) - Dollar Bill and Ledge were shocked when Valkyrie broke the smoking pipe of Professor Turk, who sat at the movie behind them. At the nearby donut shop, they informed her about the college's menace, Lunatik.
(Defenders I#55) - Ledge walked Valkyrie to the subway and tried to ask her out, but they came across Lunatik attacking some students. Ledge was shocked when Valkyrie drew her sword and was garbed for battle.
(Defenders I#56) - Thrilled that Valkyrie was a super-hero, Ledge naively tried to step in between she and Lunatik's battle, only to be hit hard by Lunatik's staff in the head and leg for his efforts.
(Defenders I#58) - In the hospital with a concussion and a broken leg, Ledge was visited by Valkyrie, Dollar Bill, and Bruce Banner, but the three departed for a club before Ledge could tell Bill about Valkyrie being a superhero.
(Defenders I#64) - Out of the hospital, Ledge, still on crutches and with a head bandage, greeted Dollar Bill and Prof. Turk on E.S.U. campus.
(Defenders I#65) - Prof. Turk gave Ledge the drama homework he had missed while in the hospital.
(Defenders I#70) – Ledge attended an E.S.U. midnight mixer where he saw Valkyrie and Hellcat in attendance. He publicly accused Prof. Turk of being Lunatik, which made Dollar Bill embarrassed and Turk leave.
(Defenders I#71) – The Defenders met with Dollar Bill, Turk, and Ledge, and the three captive Lunatiks and learned that the Lunatiks and Turk were each aspects of Arisen Tyrk, the deposed god of Other-Realm, though Ledge frequently objected.
(Defenders I#73) - Dollar Bill had Ledge come over and Ledge complained about Turk’s choice of art. They were both shocked when Foolkiller burst in, looking for Turk.
(Defenders I#74) – Obviously mentally unstable, Foolkiller threatened to kill Ledge and Dollar Bill, then instead confided them. Dollar Bill recommended he seek out the Defenders.
(Defenders I#75) – Dollar Bill and Ledge traveled by train with Foolkiller and his friends Richard Rory and Amber Grant to see the Defenders. Hulk attacked the train, and Bill revealed he’d been planning on having the Defenders take down Foolkiller. They finally arrived at the academy and Foolkiller moved to attack the Defenders.
(Defenders I#76) - Foolkiller held Dollar Bill hostage while he explained his motivations, then turned his gun on Valkyrie before escaping. Ledge snuck off and called the police and the fire station, then called Richmond (Nighthawk) for aid. Valkyrie soon defeated Foolkiller, but the academy burned down. When reporter Fia Lundstrom tried interviewing Nighthawk, he announced that the Defenders were kaput and flew off.
