History:(Over the Edge#5 (fb) - BTS) - Magdelena was a mercenary working for Jack Shadows. One day she quit and escaped from her old life by becoming a nun. For the next two years she lived and worked at an orphanage.
(Over the Edge#5 (fb) ) - One day Shadows appeared at the orphanage and later left an envelope and a rose in Magdelena's room. Inside the envelope was a picture of the Punisher. Shadows wanted her to kill him and threatened to murder Magdelena's fellow nuns and children if she didn't do it.
(Over the Edge#5) - In front of a bank Magdelena looked the Punisher straight in the eyes after he had stopped a bank robbery. She saw him leave in his limousine.
A short time later she was back home and thought about what she had to do over a cup of tea.
That night Magdelena broke into the Punisher's current home. She knocked out two of his bodyguards and went upstairs to the bathroom, where the Punisher currently was. She failed to surprise him and after a tough fight with knives and guns she was at his mercy.
Later that night Magdelena met Shadows and his two clients, whose brother was killed by the Punisher, at a scrapeyard. She pretended to have killed the Punisher and brought took a meat rolled into a carpet from her trunk. They weren't pleased when they found out what they got and wanted to kill her. The Punisher came to her aid and took out Shadows' clients, while Magdelena beat up Shadows. She could've killed him with his own knife, but didn't do it. The criminals were tied up and brought to the police by the Punisher with a tape Magdelena made of her conversation with them.
Not long after that the Punisher met Magdelena one more time at the orphanage where she worked as a nun. She had decided to leave the orphanage because if Shadows had found her others would do as well. She tried to talk the Punisher into following her ways and leave his life of death as well, but the Punisher didn't even consider it an option.
(Civil War: Battle Damage Report) - Tony Stark considered Magdelena as a potential Initiative recruit.
Comments: Created by Ivan Velez Jr., Stephen B. Jones & Miker Witherby.
Magdelena was on Stark's list for potential Initiative recruits in Civil War: Battle Damage Report. Inadvertently the former Avengers member Magdalene (who wasn't even on Earth-616 at the time) got her spot as seen on the cover for Avengers: The Initiative#1. Their names are just too similar!
In her first (and only true) appearance her eye color changed from blue to green a few times. A superhuman power?
Her real name was revealed in the aforementioned Civil War: Battle Damage Report.
Profile by Markus Raymond.
