Powers/Abilities: Parasite had the ability to live and control other people's bodies. Parasite could leave a host at anytime in the form of green mist. Upon leaving a host it was able to change into its monstrous, solid form in mere seconds. This worked the other way around as well, which made it easy for Parasite to change hosts. In its reptilian-like, monstrous form it possessed sharp fangs and talons and presumably superhuman strength and durability.

While inhabitating Martine Bancroft, Parasite showed vast mystic powers that allowed it to fly and fight magic with magic. As Martine it could absorb and throw back mystic attacks doubled, break mystic shields with Martine's voice and shoot mystic lightning blasts from her hands. Parasite's presence in Martine's body also made it stronger and more durable than it normally would've been. It is unknown if Parasite possessed the same magic abilities in its monstrous form as well. (see comments)

Parasite inside Martine Bancroft

History:

(Morbius#13) - Morbius used a Darkhold page to resurrect Martine Bancroft, but her resurrection at the hands of the Other (Chthon) was tainted by the fact that she was infected with the Lilin Parasite. Parasite, in the body of Martine, immediately sent his Hellhounds against Morbius to test his loyalty to Martine. Parasite played the role of Martine so good that Morbius believed it and protected her from the Hellhounds. He killed a few Hellhounds during the fight, but when Martine (Parasite) sent the Hellhounds into the city against innocent humans, Morbius stopped them and Parasite realized that Morbius' human side was still too strong. Martine (Parasite) killed the Hellhounds and told Morbius that he was still too attached to this world to be her consort. Martine (Parasite) flew away and Morbius was sure that this wasn't the real Martine.

(Morbius#14) - Martine (Parasite) watched Morbius sleeping in an ally until Werewolf took him away. Martine (Parasite) was in need of a mate and decided to ask her mother Lilith for help to get Morbius' Lilin side drawn out.

(Morbius#15) - Martine (Parasite) met with Lilith to ask her for help, but Lilith told her that she ensured that Morbius knew his place at the right time. Lilith didn't allow Parasite to bring Morbius to her because Morbius should stay with the Nine, to weaken them from within. Later Martine (Parasite) watched from above a fight between Ghost Rider and Morbius. She approached Morbius after the fight and smiled when she realized that Bloodthirst had won the struggle and taken control of Morbius. They kissed after Morbius (Bloodthirst) vowed to destroy the Nine from within.

(Morbius#16) - Morbius (Bloodthirst) carried Martine (Parasite) to the Sanctum Sanctorum. After Dr. Strange allowed Morbius (Bloodthirst) to enter the Sanctum Sanctorum and thereby weakened its barriers. Martine (Parasite) was now able to break into the Sanctum and let the mist and the Lilin with it inside. Martine (Parasite) and the Lilin fought the Midnight Sons until Lilith and Zarathos arrived. After Morbius had disappeared for a short time, she saw him return and seemingly by accident help his former allies against the Lilin. She immediately feared that Bloodthirst was not in control of Morbius anymore.

(Marvel Comics Presents I#144/1) - Morbius fled from the fight and Martine (Parasite) followed Morbius and saw him attack some Lilin. Now she knew for sure that Morbius was in control of his body again. She told Morbius that he had to give back the control to Bloodthirst if he wanted to be with her, but Morbius didn't listen to her and choked her until she lost consciousness.

(Marvel Comics Presents I#144/2) - Martine (Parasite) regained consciousness and watched Morbius fight Ghost Rider. When Ghost Rider realized that Morbius was on their side again, Martine (Parasite) tried to attack Ghost Rider from behind, but Morbius helped Ghost Rider against her.

(Morbius#17) - Martine (Parasite) followed Morbius and King through town on their search for the Blood Raydar. She wanted Bloodthirst to regain control over Morbius, so they could round up the remaining Lilin on Earth. Martine (Parasite) attacked Raydar while Morbius fought against the Fallen Embyrre and Rubach, who where after Raydar as well. Morbius tackled Martine (Parasite) before she could kill Raydar. She tried to sweettalk to Morbius, but he didn't believe her anymore. Raydar shot Martine from behind, but the shotgun didn't harm her. Again Morbius had to stop her from killig Raydar and then even killed Martine (Parasite). Parasite left Martine's dead body and tried to enter Morbius' body, but Embyrre killed the Lilin with a blast of fire after realizing that she fought for the wrong side.

Comments: Created by Gregory Wright, Ron Wagner, Henry Martinez, Andrew Pepoy & Sam de Larosa. Parasite body created by Isaac Cordova & Andrew Pepoy.

Though Parasite (in it's true form) didn't look the way, it seemed to be female...or maybe Bloodthirst and Parasite were gay. (I didn't mean happy!)

Martine was not a normal human anymore after her resurrection! Even after Parasite had left her body she was an undead, unfeeling creature. She never used any magic powers since Parasite had left her body, but maybe Parasite just tapped into powers Martine wasn't aware off.
