History:

(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A-Z Hardcover#4: Gladiator) - At some point Melvin married Li Ling and they had a daughter.

(White Tiger#1 (fb) - BTS) - She worked at Potter's Costumes in Hell's Kitchen. Li Ling, a parent, received the special fabric she used for some of her costumes from SHIELD. She was contacted by Daredevil (Danny Rand) to design a costume for the new White Tiger (Angela Del Toro).

(White Tiger#1) - While the visiting Spider-Man (Peter Parker), who was there to get Cage's new pants, and Black Widow (Natasha Romanova) watched, the new White Tiger tried on her costume and approved of it. Li Ling threatened to sew the legs on Cage's new pants if Spider-Man didn't stop with his remarks about White Tiger's costume.

Li Ling works in Melvin Potter's costume shop and has the last name of Potter, but there are no known or revealed connections or relations to Melvin Potter. In fact, Melvin is married to Betsy Beatty. Guess this remains to be cleared up by a future writer.

It was cleared up Gladiator's entry in OHotMU A-Z Hardcover#4. I'm not sure, but I think the profile's writer was some guy named Anderson.
