(Daredevil II#47 (fb) - BTS) - A local criminal, Samuel set up shop with the Kingpin. He collected for Waldo Dini for a time. When the Kingpin was taken down and the Owl took over, Samuel hated the new regime.
(Daredevil II#47) - Samuel collected drug money sent by Heathcliff, through Rodney, to Jackson. He returned the money to the local unit only to find his allies murdered by the Yakuza. Frightened out of his wits, he ran for it, but ran straight into the armed Yakuza, including Sano. They laughed at the Owl's control of the area. As Samuel watched, Typhoid Mary attacked, insanely singing as she slaughtered the Yakuza, leaving only Sano alive. The Kingpin revealed himself and allowed Samuel, who was thrilled to see his old boss back, to live. He told Samuel to gather their allies at Josie's Bar at 10 the next day.
