Powers/Abilities: Sharr possessed a talent for spell-casting, like many denizens of the Dark Dimension. However, he had to rely upon a casting-wand in order to harness mystical attacks. He also wielded a knife with apparent mystical properties which allowed him to wound mystical beings.
History: (Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme Annual#4/2 (fb) - BTS) - As the War of the Seven Spheres ravaged many dimensions and Dormammu reigned in the Dark Dimension, Sharr was one of many who joined the rebellion led by Clea, known to her followers as the supreme adept. Sharr was initially led by Ral Rimba, but after Rimba's death at the Gorge of Transubstantiation, Lalla assumed command. Shortly after a battle at Rimbus, a young man named Rei joined their ranks. Although Sharr was only two cycles (years) older than Rei, he considered himself a senior in comparison, and worried that Rei might not hold up in battle.
(Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme Annual#4/2) - Lalla received a message from Clea on her telling stone, ordering them to Dormammu's citadel on Tal-Chatale to rescue the sorcerer Muuro so that he could join their ranks. Clea arranged a distraction for the rebels by sending a band of Mindless Ones to assault Dormammu's guards at the citadel. Lalla ordered Sharr to enter the citadel with Rei while she and the others launched an attack, hopefully buying them the time needed. In the course of the battle, Lalla and the others were all slain, but Sharr and Rei successfully breached the citadel. Within, Rei revealed that he was actually Clea in disguise. Clea explained that Muuro was dead, but the citadel contained a portal of passage which she could use to journey to Earth in the hopes of recruiting Dr. Strange. She regretted deceiving her loyal followers, but needed to keep her plans hazy so that Dormammu would not suspect her. Clea did not have enough power to bring Sharr to Earth with her, and the protective barrier she placed around them would fail as soon as she departed. Sharr understood that he would have to sacrifice himself for her mission. He recorded a message on an emp-crystal to be passed on to his wife and son, then stood bravely against the overwhelming forces of Dormammu's agents as the barrier fell...
