History:
(Civil War: Front Line#10/2 (fb) - BTS) - A resident of Stamford, CT, James Stricker lost his wife and became a single father to his young daughter, Sarah. One morning, Sarah didn't feel well, but chose to go to school.
(Civil War#1 - BTS) - When Nitro exploded during a battle with the New Warriors, over 600 people were killed, including Sarah.
(Civil War: Front Line#10/2 (fb) - BTS) - Stricker, filled with hate for the only surviving New Warrior, Speedball (Robert Baldwin), heard that Speedball would be appearing before Congress. Stricker vowed to kill him.
(Civil War: Front Line#6/2/Civil War: Front Line#7/1) - Baldwin was shot on the steps of Congress with She-Hulk and several reporters standing by.
(Civil War: Front Line#8/2 (fb) - BTS) - Stricker was arrested, and they planned to charge him with attempted murder in the first degree.
(Civil War: Front Line#10/2) - Stricker was shocked when the guards at the Cumberland, Maryland Correctional Institute took him to see Baldwin. Stricker was filled with rage and verbally lashed out at him. Baldwin revealed he was now a registered hero on the condition that Stricker was to be let free. Stricker struck Baldwin twice then broke down crying, stating that all he had left was hate, but Baldwin said he didn't care and revealed that the bullet was lodged in his spine still. He left Stricker crying in the visiting room.
