Powers/Abilities: The Punisher had no superhuman powers but used any weapon he could get his hands on.
History: (Marvel Vision#23 - Timeslip) - Accountant Frank Castle mourned the loss of his wife and children until 5 months and 3 days after their deaths, when he read in the Daily Bugle about the number of gun-related deaths in New York City the previous year. Horrified that his family had become a statistic, Frank Castle snapped. He soon began to see each life as a credit in the wealth and worth of the city with each death representing a loss. He became obsessed with making the credits equal to the losses. Stockpiling as much weaponry as he could find and could be supplied with, Frank began killing those who were not-so-innocent and cataloging them into his catalogue. He quickly became obsessed with the book, often forgetting to eat or even sleep. The Daily Bugle soon reported that the deaths in the city had doubled: exactly what the Punisher had accounted for.
