Known Relatives: Unnamed mother and father

Powers/Abilities: Prior to his transformation, Warbow was a well-trained member of the Royal Guard. He was most proficient with the crossbow. After his transformation, he had increased strength, as well as no longer needing to sleep, eat, or breathe. Despite his utter lack of depth perception, he could still aim and after his transformation, seemed to shoot just as well as he did before, possibly through unrevealed mystical means.
History:
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior #1 (fb) - BTS) - Warbow grew up alongside Ambara and her family on the outskirts of Galax. He had a crush on his neighbor, but never attempted to act on his feelings.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior #1 (fb)) - Warbow enlisted in the Royal Guard and rose to the rank of captain.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior #8 (fb) - BTS) - Koth, when the mood struck him, told Warbow the reasons behind Crystar’s day of mourning.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior #8 (fb)) - Warbow, while attending a party during a lull in the fighting, talked with Ambara as she expressed envy over someone who could be so close to someone like Crystar. He would later be compared by his father, in a good naturedly way, to the recently commissioned Stalax.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior#1) - After the war, Warbow quickly became a fixture at the palace. During a thunderstorm, Warbow tried to arrange a meeting with Ambara as Zardeth arrived. Along with the other captains, a protective line was formed, but they were ordered away by Moltar. Eavesdropping on the two princes' conversation with Zardeth, Warbow followed the wizard to see where he could go. The wizard easily spotted him, and when confronted, Warbow shot out the evil wizard’s eye. Unfazed, Zardeth returned the favor and stabbed out Warbow’s eye with his own arrow. Unknown to them both, Warbow had been followed by Ogeode, who teleported him away once Zardeth’s attention was elsewhere. Taking him back to his quarters, the Wizard of Order later transformed him into a crystal warrior. He was unable to save Warbow’s eye, yet that didn’t stop the captain from choosing a crystal crossbow as his weapon. He would help against Moltar’s forces at the last minute by saving Crystar’s life, but felt empty as Ambara swooned over the prince.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior#2) - Warbow accompanied Crystar as he begged his case before his uncle. He tried to lend support as Crystar was dressed down for his actions. He later accompanied Crystar and the rest of his forces as they entered the slums of Galax. When Moltar’s forces attacked them, Warbow ordered Ambara to flee to safety. When they found Ogeode’s daughter Ika, Warbow watched in silence as she became crystal in order to help save Stalax.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior#3) - Warbow watched over Stalax and refused to venture to Earth. When questioned by Ambara, he pointed out that a human woman and a dying youth would not fare well against any of Moltar’s forces.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior#4) - While on the way to the marketplace, Warbow and the other captains ran into some of Moltar’s followers and a fight broke out. Warbow said goodbye to his parents as Crystar and his followers were banished from Galax.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior#5) - Warbow and the rest of the captains stayed behind as Crystar and Moltar entered into talks. When Ika’s spell backfired, it was Warbow and Koth who discovered that each side’s base were now connected. Warbow stayed behind in order to give Koth time to escape. Despite his bravery, he was overcome by the numbers of the Magma Men and about to be sacrificed by Zardeth when the twin princes arrived. He was saved when both Crystar and Ambara freed him and Moltar ordered Zardeth to stand down.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior#7) - When told of the attack by the Green Hill people, Warbow (and the other captains) urged Crystar to return. He fought bravely and talked about the Green Hill people’s beliefs to Stalax as they walked through the ruined countryside. He sailed with the rest of forces toward the Great Council of Order.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior#8) - Warbow and Ika, along with the others, listened as Crystar explained his reasons for taking a day of mourning.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior#9) - Warbow patiently waited in silence as Ogeode argued before the Council. When Zardeth and Malachon attacked, he fought against the invaders.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior#10) - Warbow sailed back with the rest. He supported Crystar’s decision to go to battle. He and Crystar fought side-by-side to rescue Ambara as she was separated from the main party. He found her after the enemy retreated and with the Stalax informed Crystar of Koth’s apparent death.
(Saga of Crystar the Crystal Warrior#11) - After hearing Bekk’s outburst, Warbow made it a point to let the priest know that he had said enough (mainly by cocking his crossbow). When the final battle raged, Warbow slew many of the Green Hill people. Finding the mortally wounded Bekk along with Ika, the one-eyed captain comforted her as the warrior priest died on the field. They silently comforted each other off to the side as Crystar was declared king.
Comments: Created by Mark Gruenwald, Ralph Macchio, John Romita, Jr. and Jim Shooter. Concept expanded on by Mary Jo Duffy and Ricardo Villamonte.
Issue #4 was a bedtime story told by Kalibar to his children, so the events within and how they transpired is suspect.
For some reason, Warbow was MIA during Issue #6, with not a single mention to his name. Maybe he was nursing his injuries from the previous issue?
Extra special thanks to Madison Carter for answering the question - yes, Crystar and all related characters are in fact Marvel owned and created. You might remember these guys from the Remco toy line, but the toys were a tie-in to the comic and not vice versa.
Warbow was the only captain not packaged into a deluxe set as an addition to other paraphernalia.
