WARHAWK
Real Name: Inapplicable
Identity/Class: Robot
Occupation: Destroy Ms. Marvel
Group Membership: None
Affiliations: Hecate
Enemies: Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers)
Known Relatives: None
Aliases: Class 1 Battle Armor
Base of Operations: Unknown
First Appearance: Ms. Marvel I#12 (December, 1977)
Powers/Abilities: Made of adamantine steel, a
Kree Warhawk could destroy a whole town without much effort. It could lift up to 20 tons and was highly durable against physical attacks. It could shoot proton blasts from its hands. It
was built to work at temperatures near absolute zero.
Weakness: In an environment at about 300 degrees, its internal
power supply system produced too much heat. Damage to the heat waste back grid could lead to a fast fusion of its internal reactor.
History: (Ms. Marvel I#12) - Hecate was attacked by Ms. Marvel and created a Kree Warhawk to distract her. The pseudo-Warhawk shot its proton blasts at Ms. Marvel but missed her. Ms. Marvel understood that she couldn't beat it with brute force so she damaged its external heat waste grid. The internal parts of the robot overheated, the reactor reached a critical point and exploded.
Comments: Created by Chris Claremont (writer), Sal Buscema (pencils), Joe Sinnott (inks).
The Warhawk was a model of Kree robot, probably built in
several units. His ability to work at extremely low temperature suggests it was
used on very cold planets colonization.
The Warhawk created by Hecate
was identical to a Kree Warhawk. It is unknown how
she knew its existence; probably she extracted it from the Ms. Marvel Kree
implanted memories, because immediately after Hecate
also created a
Main Battle Tank, another Kree weapon.
