History: (Fast Lane insert#1 - BTS) - Zane Whelan came to Manhattan to shoot a music video to promote his film "Fast Lane," and Peter Parker, Toni Harris and Sam Exmore planned to do a piece on him for the Daily Bugle's new "On Target" supplement. However, when the Fast Lane movie's special effects were lavished with praise, one-time special effects wizard Mysterio vowed to ruin Whelan.
(Fast Lane insert#2) - Zane filmed his new music video while Toni, Sam and Peter watched. In the video, Zane smoked pot, was surrounded by beautiful women, and survived walking off a building (because he was wearing a safety harness). Toni questioned whether Zane was really the rebel he was made out to be, but Sam remained ever-faithful. However, Sam overheard Zane and his manager Bob Lafferts discussing their plans in Zane's trailer, and realized that Zane's behavior was a complete sham. Suddenly, Mysterio attacked the set, and Spider-Man came to Zane's rescue.
(Fast Lane insert#3) - Zand cowered with Bob while Spider-Man fought and defeated Mysterio.
(Fast Lane insert#4) - Zane and Bob visited Exmore in the hospital and informed him that they were reconsidering Zane's image because they wanted him to be a more positive influence on his fans.
