History: (Epic Illustrated#12 (fb) - BTS) - In ancient times, the dragons of Klarn emerged from the Crystal Caverns of the Crooked Spines mountains. They made a pact with Illianor of the Elves of Klarn to serve them, creating the first of the dragonmasters.
(Marvel Premiere#38) - A dragon in Klarn was summoned to the sacrifice of a Swamp Serpent which had assumed the form of an elfen woman. The dragon slew the Swamp Serpent, but the elfen hero Tyndall then attacked and killed the dragon, needing the blood for the sorcerer Grithstane.
(Epic Illustrated#9/5) - The dragons of Klarn were left in a perpetual slumber by the Sleep Crystal, and watched over by Elven warriors. However, Murkandor shattered the Sleep Crystal. The elves tried to keep the dragons asleep by building fires, but with no dragonmaster to command the dragons, they could not hold them back. The dragons finally awoke and went on a rampage at the dwarf village of Treehaven, led by Red Soryll. However, Tyndall the elf halted their rampage and sent them away to Weirdworld's third moon.
(Epic Illustrated#12) - The dragons went in search of the Sleep Crystal, and spied Nightgaunt using it to cross to the Land of the Dead. Red Soryll led them to find Tyndall, who was in the process of retrieving the sword Glorywand alongside Mud-Butt, Velanna and Wulfbuck. Red Soryll alerted them to the danger of Nightgaunt, and offered the services of his fellow dragons to pursue him.
(Epic Illustrated#13) - The dragons bore Tyndall, Velanna, Mud-Butt and Wulfbuck to the Land of the Dead where they clashed with Nightgaunt and his goblin armies, ultimately vanquishing them.
