Powers/Abilities: Wulfbuck was an experienced fighter, although he allowed his abilities to slip after becoming a drunk. After being bested by Nightgaunt, he had a monstrous animal-like appearance. Wulfbuck's chief weapon was the sword Glorywand.
History: (Epic Illustrated#12 (fb)) - The sorceress Lianissa designed the sword Glorywand, placing most of her energy into its forging. She gave it to Wulfbuck to slay the sorcerer Nightgaunt, but Nightgaunt bested him and broke the blade from the hilt. Nightgaunt turned Wulfbuck into a monstrous-looking man, and gave the hilt to his ally Lord Raven.
(Epic Illustrated#12) - Wulfbuck degenerated into drinking, but was sought out by the heroes Mud-Butt, Tyndall and Velanna, who hoped to convince him to aid them against Nightgaunt. Wulfbuck was skeptical, but Mud-Butt produced the hilt of Glorywand, and Lianissa appeared in a vision to Wulfbuck to encourage him to reclaim his heroism. Wulfbuck journeyed with the trio to the Crystal Caverns where they reunited Glorywand's hilt to its blade, with the aid of the dragon Red Soryll. Red Soryll alerted Tyndall to the threat Nightgaunt posed at the Land of the Dead, and the dragons offered to bring the heroes to Nightgaunt.
(Epic Illustrated#13) - Wulfbuck joined his friends in battle against Nightgaunt, and wielded the rejoined Glorywand against his old foe. During their clash, Lianissa died from the Red Mist of Death which Nightgaunt had released, but learning of her death only gave Wulfbuck greater courage, and Nightgaunt was ultimately driven off the field of battle. Wulfbuck used Glorywand with Tyndall to restore Velanna and Lianissa to life, using the strength of their love for their respective women. Although Wulfbuck feared that Lianissa would hate his monstrous visage, she affirmed that she truly loved him.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Wulfbuck should not be confused with:
Glorywand was a mystical blade fashioned by Lianissa to oppose Nightgaunt, and possessed most of her magical power. Nightgaunt shattered the blade from the sword in battle, and embedded the blade in the Crystal Caverns; he gave the hilt to Lord Raven. The hilt was later stolen by the dwarf Mud-Butt, who had no idea what he had taken. It was eventually reunited with the blade at the Crystal Caverns, and the dragon Red Soryll released the blade with his flame.
Even without its blade, Glorywand's hilt could summon forth powerful blasts of mystical energy.
