History:
(Our Love#7/1) - Her room pinned with pictures of male performers, Joanie Baker was hopeful for a glamor-filled acting career and so attended an acting workshop. Star-struck, she also wished to date a popular man who wasn't stuck in a dreary 9-to-5 job. At the workshop, she met Jerry Hall, who was strongly attracted to her. Despite their apparent compatibility, she maintained an emotional distance because he seemed so average to her in his looks and clothing. She pushed him away, declaring him ordinary and left him in the rain after a kiss. Days later, she found she was still thinking of him and went to the theater to distract herself. There she saw an actor on stage with thick dark hair and beard, and was drawn to him and his acting abilities. He came up to her after the show, introduced himself as Duncan, and they dated for a short while, but she still thought of Jerry and pulled away after a kiss. But then she noticed Duncan's voice change as he removed his wig and false beard, revealing himself to be Jerry. The two lovers embraced and gazed into the sunset; she had at last found the man she wanted to be with.

The coloring of the pictures on the wall (main image) looks like she's keen on blue-skinned Kree men...
This story was later reprinted in Our Love Story#21/2 (February, 1973) and My Love#32/3 (January, 1975).
