Powers/Abilities: Bryant had hypnotic powers. The full extent of his hypnosis was not revealed but he was surely able to hypnotize beasts, one at a time, and he was not able to hypnotize people.
History: (Lorna, the Jungle Girl#9/2 (fb) - BTS) - Doctor Bryant went to Africa to sharpen his hypnotic
powers and also to earn money throught them, even with criminal methods.
Near the lands where Lorna of the Jungle lived, he found the perfect
being to use his powers on: a giant ape. What he did not know was that
the giant ape had a twin named Agu, who was a friend of Lorna.
(Lorna, the Jungle Girl#9/2 - BTS) - Bryant hypnotized the giant ape and sent it to destroy a village. The natives were killed or wounded. The people mistook the monster for Agu.

- Few hours after the wrecking the doctor showed up at the village
and took care of some of the natives. When he heard the warriors and
Greg Knight debating about hunting the big ape the doctor tried to
defend the animal, inventing an excuse about a tropical storm that had
destroyed the village. His intent was to use the beast again to hurt
other people and to earn big fees from the government for his services
as a doctor.
Seeing that the hunt started the doctor left the
wounded uncared and went to find his giant pawn. Lorna had to take
care of the wounded and was attacked by an outlaw lion, Sabi.
Shortly after Bryant drove the giant beast where
Knight and the villagers were he found a surprise. Lorna had
brought Agu there to defend the village. The evil doctor
ordered his pawn to kill Agu and a fight started between the brothers.
Lorna, who had guessed the doctor's role, hurled him into the
middle of the rumble. Before he could stop the giant ape, a foot
squashed him and Agu's twin became meek.

Sabi was a male lion who killed men. He was considered an outlaw.
Sabi was attracted by the destruction brought by the giant ape. He sniffed blood and approached the village.
He found Lorna with her back turned to him and decided that
was the right moment to attack her. But Lorna had heard him, waiting
till the last moment to jump and counter with with her knife. Sabi was killed.
