Powers/Abilities: Cole Cooper is a reasonably skilled, albeit inexperienced, photographer.
History: (Web of Spider-Man I#113) - Rookie Daily Bugle photographer Cole Cooper, assigned to work at the Macro Science Museum opening, bothered Lance Bannon for advice until Bannon shooed him away. Later, he watched the unveiling of the FACADE armor.
(Web of Spider-Man I#114) - Back at the Bugle, Cooper
pestered Bannon while he tried to develop the pictures he'd taken of the
man who'd stolen the FACADE suit. Bannon eventually shooed Cooper away,
who called Amy to tell her that Bannon was at the Bugle instead of the
hospital, hoping that she'd distract Bannon so he could sneak a look at
his pictures. Later, after Lance was murdered by FACADE, Cooper was
questioned by Lt. Sloane Chase, and admitted that he'd called Amy.
(Web of Spider-Man I#115) - Cooper crept into the Bugle
crime scene to search for Bannon's photographs of FACADE.
(Web of Spider-Man I#116) - Cooper attended Bannon's funeral, and said a few words about how Lance would have been confident in Cooper's ability to fill his shoes.
(Spider-Man Unlimited I#9) - With Peter Parker in jail for murder (long story), J. Jonah Jameson and Joe Robertson sent Cole Cooper to photograph Kaine's fight with the Sinister Seven.
(Spider-Man Super Special#1/3) - Cooper accompanied Bugle reporter Ken Ellis to Empire State Hospital, where the terrorist group Shadowforce Alpha had taken hostages.
Comments: Created by Terry Kavanagh, Alex Saviuk, Steven Baskerville, and Al Milgrom.
Cole Cooper may or may not have been FACADE - see his profile for details.
The Daily Bugle has since gone through at least one round of layoffs, three changes of ownership and two destroyed buildings, so who knows whether Cooper still works there.
Thanks to Jeremiah Ecks for pointing out the Spider-Man Super Special#1 appearance!
