CRANE CABLE
Classification: Terrestrial
technology
Creator: Unrevealed
User/Possessors: Unidentified
criminals
First
Appearance: Daredevil in "The
Crane Cable Caper"
(Kenner See-a-Show slide, 1967)
Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Crane Cable was
essentially just
like any other everyday crane with the exception that criminals were
using it
to steal.
History:
(Daredevil in "The Crane Cable Caper") - While walking at night, Matt Murdock noticed the Crane Cable and thought it odd that there would be construction at night. Investigating as Daredevil, Murdock found two criminals operating the Crane Cable, using it to enter buildings via their skylights. Catching the criminals as they prepared to hoist up a safe full of valuables, Daredevil easily defeated them by swinging on the Crane Cable's hook and knocking them out.
Comments: Created by an uncredited
writer and artist.
The
Crane Cable was only referred
to as such in the story's title and neither the crane nor the criminals
were
named in-story. If you ask me, the Cable Crane would probably have been
a
better name...
