History:
(Avengers IV#9 (fb) - BTS) - Ertzia was a trusted adviser to Black Bolt. Using his Inhuman ability to craft containment shells, he made one for Back Bolt, who used it to store and hide the Reality Infinity Gem the ruler had been entrusted with. For unknown reasons, Ertzia was left behind on Earth when Black Bolt launched the Inhuman city of Attilan from the Himalayan mountains to the moon. He became lonely and had no contact with other Inhumans. Much later, he was incarcerated in Ryker's Island Penitentiary. Ertzia killed an inmate in the prison grounds and was left ostracized with no prisoners wanting to be near him.
(Avengers IV#9 (fb)) - Eager to establish contacts, the newly incarcerated Parker Robbins (the Hood) approached Ertzia and made an effort to develop a friendship with him. Slowly, Ertzia told Robbins more about himself, eventually revealing his Inhuman power and the secret he helped Black Bolt hide.
Comments: Created by Brian Michael Bendis (writer), John Romita Jr. (pencils) and Klaus Janson, Tom Palmer & Scott Hanna (inks).
Medusa, bride of Black Bolt, indicated in Avengers IV#8 that Ertzia had died; evidently she had been deceived. However, she did identify the Gem's hiding place was where the Royal Family jailed its insurgents.
The reason why Ertzia was left behind after Attilan left Earth was not made clear; perhaps he needs to be within reasonable distance of one of his construct to maintain its integrity?
It's not actually stated in the story, but it's likely that Ertzia generated a small containment shell in the throat of the prisoner that caused him to die from choking.
Ertzia was shorter than Robbins, so probably stood at about 5' 3".
