History:
(Adventures
Into Weird Worlds#16/2) -
Gordon Langley was an
adventurer who at the beginning of the 20th
century travelled
through the world.
One time he stayed away from home for
months because
ha had found a sect of yogis
in India that taught him their secrets.
Langley learned how to make objects disappear.
Back home Langley went to visit his friend Allen. There he showed his power to Allen. Allen could not believe him, but in the end he was terrified. Allen suggested that all reality could simply be the creation of a human mind. Doubting his own existence Langley's power made the two men vanish from existence.

A great power could be used very badly. With great powers comes great responsibilty. It is strange the Yogis didn't teach this to Langley. Perhaps they should read Spider-Man.
The story happened around the beginning of the 20th century, judging by the clothes and by Langley's car.
Profile by Spidermay.CLARIFICATIONS:
Gordon Langley has no known connections to
Allen was a normal man who simply could not believe what he was seeing.
Langley only doubted that any object
didn't exist and that object
vanished before Allen's eyes. Allen was desperate when he thought to himself
that he and Langley could be mere creations of another person's mind. This
doubt hit Langley as well, who doubted that they existed, and so it was. They disappeared!

The Yogis had mental powers similar and superior to Langley's. They were capable of high levels of relaxation and concentration.
They lived in a temple in a mysterious part of India and formed a sect. They had many secrets, but they taught one of them to Langley.
