History:

(Daredevil I#20 (fb) - BTS) - Judge Lewis convicted and sentenced the Owl for his criminal acts, but Owl was soon released. Months later, after Lewis had retired, Lewis was later kidnapped by the Owl and taken to his deadly Aerie, where Owl sought to have a mock trial before executing Lewis.

(Daredevil I#20) - Lewis was disgusted when Owl’s henchmen brought blind lawyer, Matt Murdock, in to represent Lewis in the mock trial. Owl grew furious with the mock criminal jury for wanting to kill Lewis faster, and then granted Murdock the opportunity to search the island for a witness. Lewis was scared for the blind man’s life. Suddenly Daredevil jumped in the room and attacked the villains, but Owl managed to trap the hero in a cage.

(Daredevil I#21) - Lewis was frightened when the island starting erupting, a volcano beneath them. Daredevil managed to grab Lewis and place him on the back of a mechanical owl, and they sailed away as the island exploded. 

(Daredevil I#22) - Daredevil safely guided the robot to land, using balance and a delicate touch. Just before they landed, Daredevil grabbed Lewis and jumped as the robot exploded, triggered by Owl from afar. Daredevil also claimed to have rescued Murdock earlier.
