History: (Spider-Woman III#14 (fb) ) - Blinded in a freak accident, second-story man Eric discovered he had the ability to see through the eyes of cats. Insurance agent Daphne Faversham checked up on his insurance claim; learning of his gift, she helped him master it to become the costumed thief Nighteyes. She gave him insurance information from jewelry stores her company insured to determine which pieces were the most valuable, and also bribed an employee at the Excelsior Alarm Company to delay the installation of those stores' alarm systems; with her help, he was highly successful, netting $75 million in stolen jewels. She also became his lover.
(Spider-Woman III#14) - Nighteyes broke into Mr. Tomlinson's jewelry store, making off with $25 million in merchandise. Later, he returned to his apartment, finding Daphne waiting for him. He watched the resulting romantic interlude through the eyes of a nearby cat. Later, Spider-Woman, having interrogated Daphne, tracked Eric down at his apartment. He attacked her with his cats, but despite her allergy to cats, Spider-Woman overcame them and slugged Nighteyes, knocking him out and releasing the cats from his control. The police arrived soon after to take him away.
Comments: Created by Roger Stern, John Byrne, Graham Nolan, and Randy Elliot.
Spider-Woman's solo series is...not exactly John Byrne's best work. Nighteyes is probably the most interesting thing to come out of it, so it is perhaps no coincidence that he was "suggested by" Roger Stern.
Nighteyes was only seen working with housecats; no word on whether he can command lions or tigers or what have you. Tigra better steer clear of this dude just in case.
Hey, Nighteyes: your cat does not want to watch you get it on. That's just weird.
Profile by Minor Irritant.

(Spider-Woman III#14 (fb) ) - Insurance agent Daphne Faversham checked up on the recently-blinded Eric's insurance claim; learning of his bizarre cat-powers, she helped him master them to become the costumed thief Nighteyes. (Spider-Woman III#14) - Daphne visited Mr. Tomlinson's just-robbed jewelry store, totaling up his losses. Later, after a successful heist, Nighteyes returned to his apartment, finding Daphne waiting for him. The next day, Spider-Woman visited her at her office, having realized that every store Nighteyes had robbed was insured by Daphne's company. Daphne tried to flee to the elevator, but Spider-Woman cornered her in the elevator. Daphne told her everything.

(Spider-Woman III#14) - When his store was robbed by Nighteyes, jewelry store owner Mr. Tomlinson cancelled a speech he was supposed to give at the mayor's fundraiser to go to the store and survey the damage. He was pleased to see his insurance agent Daphne Haversham there, but he was less pleased with the presence of novice super hero Spider-Woman, especially when she started sneezing all over everything.
