History: (Spider-Man Unlimited I#9) - After the homicidal Spider-clone Kaine began killing off Spider-Man's enemies, the Hobgoblin, fearful that he might be next, assembled six other Spider-foes to his warehouse headquarters, where he recruited them into his Sinister Seven. The Vulture was skeptical of the threat of Kaine, still upset over Mysterio's recent betrayal of he and the other surviving members of the Sinister Six, and resentful at the Hobgoblin's attempt to lead them. The two of them came to blows until the Shocker blasted a computer screen to gain their attention. Hobgoblin offered his teammates access to his personal armory, and the Shocker, Mysterio, and Scorpia took him up on his offer, although the Vulture mocked them for their cowardice. The irritated Hobgoblin nevertheless sent them out on Operation Kaine-Kill. Scouring the city using tracking data acquired by Electro and the Hobgoblin, they initially had limited success, although the Beetle encountered and narrowly escaped Spider-Man (at the time disguised as the Scarlet Spider). The Shocker ended up accidentally chasing rats, and the Vulture refused to report in (although Scorpia reported on his position anyway).
After searching for four hours, the Hobgoblin was just about to call off the operation when he was ambushed by Kaine. He was quickly overwhelmed by the clone until the rest of the team arrived, having heard gunshots. Despite their poor teamwork, the Seven managed to gain the upper hand on Kaine, but Spider-Man arrived in time to prevent them from executing him. He quickly took the Beetle and seemingly Mysterio out of the fight, but was then forced to save the Hobgoblin from Kaine. Vulture and Hobgoblin then bombed both of them, but accidentally took out Electro in the process. Spider-Man then took down the Vulture and Scorpia, while Kaine knocked the Hobgoblin and the Shocker out of the fight. Kaine then turned on Spider-Man, believing that he was the Hobgoblin, courtesy of a still-conscious Mysterio's hallucinogens. After a brief struggle, Spider-Man kicked Kaine off a building, forcing him to flee. He then confronted Mysterio, who taunted him and disappeared.

The Sinister Seven contains all three surviving, non-reformed members of the original Sinister Six (Electro, Mysterio, and Vulture), the Hobgoblin, who was a later Six recruit, two members of the Sinister Syndicate for good measure (Beetle and Shocker), and Scorpia, who...well, had only fought Spider-Man once at this point, but it's not like the neophyte Grim Hunter managed to escape Kaine's notice.
The cover of Spider-Man Unlimited I#9 misidentifies them as the Sinister Six. Maybe Scorpia was a late addition?
A reunion doesn't look too likely anytime soon, given that Mysterio and Hobgoblin are both dead and the Beetle's reformed.
