History: (Journey into Mystery I#101/3) - About at the same time that humankind was trying to reach the Moon the Vulcanians already soared space. They did not know Earth, but they waged war with all the planets near Vulcanus and won. They enslaved the other races and always sought new conquests.
Their technology gave them electronic
spectroscopes, which enabled them to watch what happened on other far away planets.
That way they discovered the planet Idylica. The Idylicans were an exception
among the inhabitated worlds as they were peace lovers, scientists and gentle. They were everything that was hated by Vulcanians and in
particular by their leader Rakku.
The Vulcanian spaceships, however, were not built to perform
long-distance travel needed to reach Idylica and return back to Vulcan, nor could they use the
Idylican fuel, so the Vulcanians could not attack the peaceful planet.
But Rakku could not bear the existence of such a planet of fools and proposed to his people a cunning plan: the entire population of Vulcan would attack Idylica and, once they had conquered planet, unable to go back, would have settled on Idylica. The Vulcanians, as cruel as their leader, accepted.
A planetary starfleet was built, transporting all the Vulcanians through space. Meanwhile the Idylicans watched the Vulcanians with their spectroscopes, aware of the hatred the evil ones had for them.
One month later the Vulcanians arrived on Idylica and landed. The cities were deserted without any lifesigns seen. But when the Vulcanians walked on the surface they discovered that they couldn't. The gravity of the planet had been altered! The Vulcanians floated helpless in mid-air. The Idylican science had forced the Vulcanians to fight against the entire planet, so that they could not have time to wage war against any other race. In contrast the Idylicans had left their homeworld and easily settled on Vulcanus.

Rakku, the leader, was a typical Vulcanian. He was a cruel battling, untiring warlord.
Rakku had just led the Vulcanians to conquer a race of green-skinned aliens, but his hatred for the Idylicans and for Sunor, their prince, pushed him to try the impossible.
The entire Vulcanian race followed him migrating toward Idylica, but they were thwarted by the science and the intuitions of the Idylicans.
