Powers/Abilities: Clovis Maines is solidly built but not that intelligent. He can channel massive amounts of electricity like a conductor, but cannot store that charge. He strapped batteries around his body to access electrical charges.
History:
(Deadpool IV#22 (fb) - BTS) - Clovis Maine was helping his uncle at his private still, winding up copper wire during a lightning storm. Lightning struck and when Clovis woke up, found that he had become a superconductor. Clovis' uncle, Sheriff Dale of Mason County, was part of a county-wide robbery ring run by fellow local police officer Darlene. Their illegal activities included robbing gas stations, tour buses and so on; this gang included Clovis.
(Deadpool IV#22) - The bus that Deadpool was riding on was held up by three thieves; two were quickly disarmed by the mercenary, but White Lightnin' then appeared and blasted Deadpool unconscious. Later revived, Deadpool followed the trail of the thieves to Sheriff Dale's remote moonshine still where White Lightnin' unleashed another massive charge of electricity at where he thought his opponent was and ran down the hill to his target. Hidden, Deadpool fired his gun at the batteries strapped to White Lightnin', with the battery acid burning Clovis' eyes and skin. White Lightnin' had to strip down to get rid of the toxic material when the Georgian Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agency (ATF) arrived and arrested Clovis, his uncle and Deadpool. Slow on the uptake, Clovis realized that Darlene had set them up and he was taken away to be locked up in a cell.

It seems to me anyone strong enough to lug around at least five car batteries around their body should at least have peak paranormal strength in the 1000 pound to one ton range.

Sheriff Dale was part of a robbery ring dominated by Mason County police officers who would disguise themselves to rob buses and gas stations. He ran an illegal still and managed to get his nephew involved in his nefarious activities. He was apprehended by the Georgian ATF.

Darlene was a member of the Mason County police and organized a crime ring comprised mostly of the local cops. She was the brains behind the robberies, identifying bus routes and timetables. When she encountered Deadpool at the local police station out for justice (revenge) for being robbed, Darlene informed him of the crime ring, but not her involvement, and told Deadpool where to find Sheriff Dale. Deadpool quickly understood what was going on and forced her to call the Georgian ATF to get to the sheriff's still. She was later arrested with her fellow local police officers.
